Eichhornia crassipes is known to be suitable for biogas production due to its high biomass content. Solanum nigrum is not typically listed as a primary feedstock for biogas. Hydrilla can be used but Eichhornia crassipes is the more commonly cited alternative alongside dung. Parthenium hysterophorus is generally considered invasive and less recommended for this purpose.
