Privacy Policy

PrepBeePakistan ("we", "us", "our") operates prepbeepakistan.com and the PrepBeePakistan Android app, a free MCQ practice platform for Pakistani competitive exams (FPSC, PPSC, NTS, CSS, PMS, and related government job tests). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it, across both the website and the Android app, since the app loads the same website inside a native shell.

Account information: if you register a student account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text). You can also use most practice features as a guest without creating an account.

Practice and quiz activity: for logged-in students, we save your practice sessions, mock-test results, streaks, XP, badges, saved/favorite questions, and mistake history, so your progress persists across visits and devices.

Question reports: if you report an MCQ as incorrect, we store the reason(s) you selected and any comment you add. If you submit a report as a guest (not logged in), we store the name and email you provide, plus a hashed (non-reversible) version of your IP address and browser user-agent string, to prevent abuse of the reporting system.

Session cookies: we use cookies to keep you signed in (prepbee_student_session for accounts, prepbee_guest_session for anonymous practice sessions) and to remember basic preferences like theme and quiz mode. These are functional cookies, not advertising trackers.

Contact form submissions: if you email us or use the contact form, we collect the name, email, and message you provide, solely to respond to your inquiry.

Push notification tokens: if you're signed in on the Android app and grant notification permission, we store a device push token (issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging) linked to your account. It's used only to send you app-related alerts, such as job updates or test reminders. You can revoke this at any time by disabling notifications in your device settings; the token is removed from our systems if it becomes invalid or when your account is deleted.

Google Ads conversion tracking: our website loads Google's gtag.js tag to measure ad campaign performance. This can set cookies and share limited interaction data with Google, governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): used by the Android app to deliver push notifications. Firebase processes your device's push token to route messages to it; governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights: we use these privacy-focused, aggregated analytics tools to understand site usage and performance. They do not use invasive tracking cookies and do not sell data to third parties.

Resend: our contact form is delivered via Resend, an email-sending service, solely to route your message to our inbox.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not run third-party advertising networks or ad SDKs inside the Android app itself.

To provide and maintain your account, save your practice progress, and let you resume where you left off across sessions and devices.

To review and act on question reports, improving the accuracy of our MCQ content.

To respond to support requests and business inquiries sent through our contact channels.

To understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g. which categories are most practiced) so we can improve the platform, and to measure whether our ad campaigns are effective.

To detect and prevent abuse of guest features, such as spam question reports.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email support@prepbeepakistan.com from the address on your account and we'll process the request within a reasonable time. Guest-session data (practice history not tied to an account) is not retained long-term and is not linked to your real identity beyond the hashed values described above.

You can access, correct, or delete your account information at any time by contacting us. If you're a guest user, most of your local practice data lives in your browser/app session and is cleared when you clear app data or uninstall.

PrepBeePakistan is built for candidates preparing for adult government-job entrance exams and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including password hashing, hashed storage of guest identifiers, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "last updated" date below will change whenever we make a revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
