Explanation

Ringelmann's charts are specifically designed to measure the degree of darkness caused by smoke. Smoke filters are used to trap or reduce smoke but do not measure darkness levels. Horizontal microscopes are tools for viewing small objects and are not used for measuring smoke darkness. All of these is incorrect because only Ringelmann's charts perform this specific measurement.
