Genetic advance is the difference between the mean phenotypic value of the progeny and the parental population. Genetic gain relates to the improvement achieved over generations through selection. Heritability is a measure of how much variation is due to genetics relative to total variation. Coheritability is not the standard term used for this specific difference.
