Kittock and Law (1969) correctly described the method of estimating seed vigor based on stained seed color intensity. Woodstock (1976) is associated with a different study or year. Maguire (1962) did not describe this specific method. Nicolls & Heu Decker (1968) are not credited with this particular technique.
