Explanation

Table Tennis Mixed Doubles was the first sport to feature a mixed doubles event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Curling was featured in previous Olympics but not newly added for the first time. Powerlifting has been part of the Olympics before this. Table Tennis Mixed Doubles is specifically noted as a new addition format.
