Iron is a ferromagnetic material and is commonly used to make temporary magnets because it can be easily magnetized by induction. Copper is not strongly magnetic enough on its own. Tin is generally not magnetically suitable for this purpose. None implies that no metal works, which contradicts the known properties of iron.
