Explanation

Nitrogen gas is used as an inert gas to prevent oxidation and spoilage. Carbon dioxide can cause packaging issues or react with contents. Oxygen promotes oxidation and spoilage of chips. Hydrogen does not serve this purpose for chip packaging.
