Explanation

Concave lenses are used to correct short-sightedness (myopia) because they diverge light rays. Convex lenses are used for long-sightedness (hypermetropia). A convex-concave lens is not the standard correction for simple myopia. A concave-convex lens does not represent a standard corrective lens for this condition.
