Comets orbit the Sun because they are celestial bodies gravitationally bound to it. The Moon does not have a strong enough gravitational pull to keep comets in orbit. The Earth's gravity is generally too weak to dictate the long-term path of a comet. Venus is a planet and does not serve as the primary orbital center for comets.
