Explanation

Bifocal lenses are specifically designed to correct the vision issues associated with Presbyopia. Convex lenses generally correct for nearsightedness (myopia). Concave lenses are used to correct farsightedness (hypermetropia) or astigmatism in some contexts. Cylindrical lenses primarily correct for astigmatism.
