Explanation

Concave lenses are used to correct myopia because they diverge light rays entering the eye. Convex lenses are used to correct hypermetropia as they converge light. Cylindrical lenses correct astigmatism by having different powers in different meridians. Medicine is not a lens type and thus cannot correct refractive errors.
