Dhaka is often cited as one of the most densely populated cities in the world due to its rapid growth. Beijing has high population density but Dhaka's current estimates are often higher for certain areas. Karachi and New Delhi have high populations, but Dhaka frequently ranks higher in terms of sheer density.
