Explanation

Al-Mustanjid Billah was the last recognized ruler of the Abbasid dynasty. Al-Muntansir Billah ruled before him and is not the last one. Al-Musta’sim Billah ruled earlier than the last claimant to power. Al-Muktafī Billah also ruled significantly before the final collapse.
