Explanation

In October 1947, following the tribal invasion of Kashmir and the subsequent accession of the state to India, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah ordered the Pakistan Army to move into Kashmir. General Douglas Gracey , who was the acting Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army at the time, refused to obey Jinnah's direct command.
