Eligibility
All posts are on contract basis and open all over Pakistan. Appointment is made on the Institutional Pay Scale (IPS) under the AMTI Uniform IPS Contract 2026 Policy, with Contributory Provident Fund (CPF), and is governed by the MTI Act 2015, the Policy Board Regulations 2025 and other applicable policies and amendments, subject to annual performance evaluation. The appointee is on probation for one year, during which the contract may be terminated without notice and without assigning any reason. Quotas are observed as per rules: 2 per cent for persons with disabilities, 10 per cent for female candidates and 5 per cent for minorities, and a disability certificate issued by the competent medical board is required where applicable.

Selection and Important Conditions
Shortlisting is done on the basis of the ETEA screening test, educational qualifications and relevant experience as per the Board of Governors AMTI approved criteria. A minimum of 50 per cent marks is required to pass the ETEA screening test, and a minimum of 70 per cent is the passing interview mark as approved by the competent authority; the average aggregate of interview marks is considered. The selection committee recommends names to the competent authority AMTI in order of merit including pre-interview and interview marks, and the competent authority then issues offer letters. For serials 24 to 35, all educational documents and experience certificates are verified during scrutiny and shortlisting, and a candidate found to have submitted fake or unverified documents is disqualified and proceeded against as per law. Candidates must be in good standing with their employer and provide the names of three referees. Character verification and background checks are conducted on the selected candidate. Candidates employed in government, semi-government or autonomous organizations must apply through proper channel with a valid NOC and, if selected, must resign from service. Only shortlisted candidates are invited for interview, no TA/DA is admissible, and original documents must be presented at the interview. Experience must be from PMDC or HEC approved and registered institutes, firms or organizations. The Board of Governors reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or to revoke the selection process or re-advertise a position at any stage.
